Ithaca
is an arts organisation working in Oxfordshire and
Berkshire with People with disabilities including those
with identified mental health needs, learning difficulties
or physical and sensory impairments and older people.
Ithaca invited us to design an A4 book, pulling together
the creative results of an intergenerational heritage
project involving residents of Carterton.
The book was to include creative writing, transcribed
interviews, archive photos and artwork from Carterton
residents, reflecting on and reliving the history of
their town. |
We re-invigorated old photographs and layered them with letters and documents as if they were scattered on an old coffee table.
The design blended sensitively with the visual cue's that were there already and had the look of an aged scrapbook, allowing the documentation, rather than the design, to take lead.
Client comments:
"Many thanks for all your hard work, imaginative
layout and splendid end product."
"Thank
you both for your creativity - and patience. Look
forward to working with you again." |
